RAN & Transmission Field Engineer

Salary: £38,800

Qualification Required: Minimum BSc Engineer in Computer Science, telecommunication or related fields.

Duties includes below:

  • Completing site build & Integration, configuration, call testing and performance management tasks for 4G and 5G cellular network nodes.
  • Perform RAN and core network management system validation including configuration, performance, and fault management, RAN profiles, and device management.
  • Perform validation of key feature sets, peak and sustained throughput & latency
    validation, E2E performance optimization, and parameter configurations.
  • Providing support to RAN Engineers on configuration or troubleshooting issues
  • Communicate internally and externally to clients and teams
  • Strong knowledge of 4G/LTE, 5G RAN & O-RAN & testing experience, Solid working knowledge of 4/5G Radio Access Network technology, Strong end-to-end RAN knowledge with focus on 4/5G, RAN Technologies (vRAN, Small Cells, MIMO, Timing and Sync with GPS, PTP).
  • Understanding of 3GPP standards, including procedures, call flows, KPI, statistics.
  • End-to-end testing, in all areas -IMS calls (eNodeB).
  • Analysing and diagnosing main RF Issues like Dropped calls, Blocked calls, Handover
    Failures, Interference, RACH failures etc.
  • Good experience in analysing the Core Network elements issues.
